Advocacy

I am an experienced County Court Advocate with a good track record of successfully achieving outcomes as instructed.

Commercial & Private Disputes

Analysis of relative merits in “N1” claims, bundle production, eye-to-detail, identification of “next steps” and their requirements are key areas of focus. My previous commercial career, County Court Advocacy and regular client work brings a “real-world” perspective to this area of law.

Criminal

Along with my legal qualifications, in my previous career I have been a witness in Magistrates and Crown Courts on several occasions, as well as a Jury Foreman. This has given me a good understanding of the requirements of witnesses and other elements for credible case presentation in Court.

Employment

As a Free Representation Unit (FRU) volunteer I have successfully represented clients in telephone hearings and at Employment Tribunals. My LLM, (awarded a “Distinction”), focused on employment status and its definition in UK statute and law. This is a key preliminary issue of many ET claims.

Family

Familiar with the requirements of the “Form E“, I will apply an analytical eye to inherent issues presented by data, as well as ensuring it is recorded correctly. I am also familiar with developing areas of family law (LPA, COP), with both personal and professional experience. I have a DBS Enhanced Certificate, enabling me to work with children and vulnerable adults.

Personal Injury

Assessing the basis and history of a claim, the involvement of the parties, causation and quantum are key interests. I enjoy building clients’ cases with a view to optimal outcomes.

Probate & Wills

Analysis and identification of communications, financial transactions and procedure are key areas of experience. In addition, efficient bundle production has always been available.

Procedure & Quantum

For immediate reference, I have my own copies of CPR 1+2, Blackstone’s Criminal Practice, their latest supplements and the Judicial College Guidelines.

Regulatory

I am certified by the ICO for GDPR and have a DBS Enhanced Certificate (Children). All enquiries and the provision of services are conducted in the strictest confidence.

Regulatory Compliance

My former career has involved defence procurement and sales internationally, giving experience of firearms and related law, for the UK, EU and USA. I am competent in applying Government standards for compliance regarding regulated goods for import and export. I am confident my insight and experience of this contentious subject matter will assist legal professionals and their clients.
